Design

We have a standard tower cabinet design for this iBUYPOWER Element 9260 gaming desktop. The design is nothing spectacular and it’s definitely not new. We see 3 LED rings on the front face which is something we have seen on other gaming laptops. The material that is used for construction is sturdy and can take some damage.

You have a lot of fans inside the cabinet that helps in keeping the temperature cool. For the dissipation of hot air, there is enough ventilation on the sites, back, and also on the top. When you are in the middle of a heavy gaming session, you can expect the desktop to maintain a reasonable optimum temperature for better performance.

If you want to play the latest and the greatest games, we can confidently say that this processor will not be the bottleneck in any way. Apart from gaming, you can also do pretty much any kind of heavy work on this desktop with this processor in your hands.

How much storage do you get? The desktop comes with two kinds of storage. We have a 1TB hard drive that gives you all the space you want for all your games. This is one of the spacious hard drives we have seen and it also runs much faster than most 5400rpm hard drives. And in addition to this hard drive, we also get a 240 GB solid-state drive.

Having a solid-state drive as a part of your storage is a great move. The solid-state drive on this computer is 10 times faster than the hundred percent. This means you can read, write, and do pretty much any activity on your desktop at a much faster rate when you are performing it on the SSD portion of the storage.

If the SSD is that much faster, why can’t we just have a solid-state drive alone? This is a very common question that we get asked all the time. Buying a solid-state drive that has a capacity of 1 TB will cost you a fortune. This hybrid storage device is a great example of how to reduce costs when it comes to storage.
