For the price, you are getting a pretty good spec sheet along with this desktop computer. This desktop might be a bit too costly for those who are on a budget, but if you’re willing to spend some extra money you will get a desktop computer that will stay future proof for the next few years. So is this laptop worth your hard-earned money? Let’s find that out on the full review below.

Design

The design of this desktop is incrementally better in parts and pieces which makes it a pretty good choice on the design front. The ribbed front panel and gives you a nice modern look that is nice. You also get rounded corners which are not something you see in desktop computer design. The desktop comes in a nice black shade which HP calls nightfall black. When compared to traditional desktop cabinets, this one is sleeker and definitely better designed.

The front face of the laptop is not just for show but also hosts a number of essential ports and buttons. the second panel from the left has a DVD writer which is something you don’t see in most computers these days. You can find the power button on the far left and it is a bit too small to our liking.

Below the power button, you can find the audio jack, 3 USB Type-A super-speed ports, a 3-in-1 media card reader, and a USB Type-C port. These ports are essential and will be used daily. HP has done users a great help by locating all of this on the front face which is a lot easier to access when compared to the backside of the desktop.

The HP Envy TE01-1022 desktop also comes with built-in Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. The Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to access the internet at excellent speech without having to use an ethernet cable. The Bluetooth connectivity gives you the freedom to connect wirelessly with external devices. Both this wireless connectivity features eliminate the need for wires which can reduce clutter on your table.

Performance

HP Envy TE01-1022 desktop

The HP Envy TE01-1022 desktop computer comes with a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. This i7 processor comes with a base clock speed of 2.9 GHz which is a lot of power even for a high-end PC. The i7 10700 can also clock to a maximum of 4.8 GHz which can set fires on tracks. This is one of the best processors you can find from the 10th generation of Intel chips.

The processor gets a CPUMark benchmark score of 17502 which is a lot. The benchmark results confirm that this is a high-end processor and with 8 physical cores, you are going to have a fun time when it comes to doing some serious heavy lifting.

With this processor, this desktop can run pretty much any application you want. It handles your everyday needs like a breeze and can run even complex applications like virtual machines, photo editing applications, and other ones as well. The processor also comes with 16 MB of Intel Smart cache memory which will be super helpful when running applications like office suites, browsers, and other everyday apps.

The memory department on this HP Envy TE01-1022 computer comes with 16 GB of DDR4 type RAM. This RAM comes with a clock speed of 2933 MHz which is pretty fast for a Test top at this price point. This memory is very handy when you need to multitask. You can multitask your heart’s content and it will take a lot of browser tabs to tire this one.

The good thing about the memory department is that it is upgradable. You can upgrade the memory to a maximum of 32 GB which should come in handy later in the future.

The storage department on this desktop comes with two storage. You get a 1 TB SATA hard drive that comes with a speed of 7200 rpm and you also get a 512 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. This combination is a very good one and it gives you a perfect balance between storage space and speed.

The hard drive gives you enough space to play with. If you have a huge media library or a lot of photos and videos, you can store all of them in this spacious hard drive. The solid-state drive, on the other hand, is not as spacious but it will give a helping hand when it comes to performance. It loads the operating system fast and launches any application pretty quickly reducing the waiting time to a minimum.

You do not get a dedicated graphics card on the HP Envy TE01-1022. This is not a gaming desktop but with the integrated graphics card, Intel UHD graphics 630, you will be able to play most light and mid-range games without any issues. You can even play some high-end games if you are willing to bring down the settings to achieve a decent frame-rate.

We also get a wired keyboard and a mouse. These are pretty standard stuff and using them will be a pretty standard experience. The typing experience on the keyboard is pretty good as it gives you keys with enough travel and a very good layout. The mouse is good but nothing extraordinary.

HP Envy TE01-1022 Review – Wrap Up
