Processing Power

Processing power is very important for a laptop running ArcGIS.

You are going to do a lot of processor-intensive tasks for which you need a good amount of processing power in your kitty.

As a starting point, you need at least a dual-core processor from the 8th generation of Intel chips. These dual-core processors should be able to clock to a maximum of more than 3.0GHz.

If you want things to be ideal, you need a quad-core or a hexa-core processor that is from the 8th generation of Intel chips or later. The clock speed is not an issue here as you will have more power due to the availability of more cores.
